Cresp 100 mcg Injection contains darbepoetin alfa, a long acting erythropoiesis stimulating agent used in the treatment of symptomatic anemia associated with chronic kidney disease in both dialysis and non dialysis patients, as well as anemia caused by chemotherapy in adult cancer patients. It works by stimulating erythropoietin receptors in the bone marrow, increasing red blood cell production and improving hemoglobin levels. Due to its prolonged duration of action, Cresp allows less frequent dosing compared to conventional erythropoietin therapies, helping reduce the need for blood transfusions and improve quality of life in patients experiencing anemia related fatigue, weakness, and reduced exercise tolerance.
