Cresp 200 mcg Injection contains darbepoetin alfa, a long acting erythropoiesis stimulating agent indicated for the treatment of symptomatic anemia associated with chronic kidney disease in patients on dialysis and not on dialysis, as well as anemia related to chemotherapy in adult cancer patients. It acts by stimulating erythropoietin receptors in the bone marrow, leading to increased red blood cell production and improvement in hemoglobin levels. Due to its prolonged half life, Cresp allows extended dosing intervals compared to conventional erythropoietin therapies, helping reduce transfusion requirements and improve energy levels, exercise tolerance, and overall quality of life in patients suffering from moderate to severe anemia.
