Zynesp 25 mcg Injection contains darbepoetin alfa, a long acting erythropoiesis stimulating agent used for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease in patients on dialysis as well as those not on dialysis. It is also indicated for chemotherapy induced anemia in adult cancer patients. The medicine stimulates erythropoietin receptors in the bone marrow, increasing red blood cell production and improving hemoglobin levels. This lower strength formulation is often used for treatment initiation and dose adjustments to achieve controlled hemoglobin correction while reducing anemia related fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath.
