Zynesp 40 mcg Injection contains darbepoetin alfa, a long acting erythropoiesis stimulating agent used for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease in patients undergoing dialysis as well as those not on dialysis. It is also indicated for the management of chemotherapy induced anemia in adult cancer patients. The medicine works by stimulating erythropoietin receptors in the bone marrow, leading to increased production of red blood cells and improvement in hemoglobin levels. This lower strength formulation is commonly used for treatment initiation and dose titration, helping achieve controlled hemoglobin correction while reducing anemia related symptoms such as fatigue and weakness.
