Tresiba 100 U/ml Penfill Cartridge contains insulin degludec which is an ultra long acting basal insulin used for treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes to maintain steady background insulin levels throughout the day and night. It slowly releases insulin over 24 to 42 hours which helps reduce excessive glucose production by the liver and improves glucose uptake by muscle and fat cells leading to smoother and more stable blood sugar control. How do I take Tresiba 100 U/ml Penfill Cartridge?
Use Tresiba Penfill only with a compatible insulin pen, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Inject subcutaneously (under the skin) in the abdomen, thighs, upper arms or buttocks. Do not inject into a vein or muscle. Rotate the injection site each time and avoid injecting into areas of skin that are bruised, red, hard, lumpy, scarred or have lipodystrophy

How should I store Tresiba 100 U/ml Penfill Cartridge at home?
Store unused cartridges in a refrigerator at 2 °C to 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep them in the original packaging to protect from light. Once a cartridge is in use (or carried as a spare), it can be stored at room temperature (below 30 °C) for up to 8 weeks. After this period discard the cartridge even if some insulin remains.
