Abirapro 250 mg Tablet contains abiraterone acetate, an androgen biosynthesis inhibitor used in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in adult men, including metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer and metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer when used in combination with androgen deprivation therapy and corticosteroids such as prednisone or prednisolone. It works by inhibiting the CYP17 enzyme involved in the production of testosterone and other androgens, thereby reducing hormone levels that fuel prostate cancer growth and spread. By lowering androgen production, Abirapro helps slow disease progression and supports overall clinical management of prostate cancer. The medicine is typically taken orally once daily on an empty stomach at least two hours after food or one hour before food to ensure optimal absorption and safety under the guidance of an oncologist.
